Crowns and Bridges

Providing a patient with a crown or a bridge can make a big difference in a smile in just a short time. Either restoration can be completed in just a week or two.

When one or two teeth in a row have been lost, especially as happens so often in the front teeth, we can provide a bright, white bridge to fill the gap. If a single tooth has been damaged or fractured, we can strengthen it with a dental crown.

Dental Crowns

A crown is a lab-created restoration that completely covers a damaged tooth. It may be used when a tooth has been fractured or if it has lost a significant amount of tissue to decay. A crown is also recommended after root canal therapy since this treatment can cause a tooth to become brittle. Crowns protect a tooth and can extend its life for many years.

Bridges

A bridge is made from two crowns with one or more replacement teeth in the middle. Before placement, the teeth on either side of the gap are prepared for crowns. Then the bridge is securely cemented into place. With care, this bridge can last many years.
